This interactive website presents the results of the study Beyond the Gini Index, which examines income inequality across 8,043 Spanish municipalities. It compares the conventional Gini coefficient with a poverty-adjusted measure that accounts for the relative weight of low-income households, revealing inequalities that may remain hidden when the traditional indicator is used alone. Users can search for individual municipalities, explore national and regional rankings, compare changes across Spain’s autonomous communities, consult interactive maps and download the underlying data.
The Atlas of Social Determinants of Health in Spain compiles and presents a set of indicators related to the "Social Determinants of Health." According to the WHO, the Social Determinants of Health (SDH) are the circumstances in which people are born, grow up, live, work, and age; in short, they are the conditions in which daily life unfolds. The quality of these determinants defines the health status of the population.
